Collective Soul's Decision: Why Humanity IsReady for the Next Vibration

Sounds True
Sounds True
Sep 7, 2026
9 min de lecture

In a 2026 conversation on Sounds True's Insights at the Edge, Paul Selig recounts a message his guides delivered back in 2009 with the publication of his first book. They described humanity as standing at a threshold they called "a time of reckoning"—not punishment in the punitive sense, but a confrontation with oneself and all one's creations. Every structure built on fear, they suggested, needs to be re-known, re-understood, and ultimately rebuilt on a foundation of truth and higher alignment.

The metaphor they offered was simple and architectural. "There is nothing wrong with a bank," Selig explains. "It has a purpose. But if the cement that holds the building of the bank together is made of fear, the building itself may not last." The logic extends beyond finance. When fear underpins the systems we've erected—economic, medical, educational—those systems become fragile, vulnerable not to collapse but to transformation.

How a Channeled Teacher Prepared for Radical Change

Selig's own journey with these messages began long before the structures around him began to shift. Around 2019, his guides came through during a live broadcast with what sounded, at the time, like apocalyptic warning: a big thing was coming, it would hit New York, he needed to prepare. Selig, who had lived through 9/11 and the AIDS crisis in New York, was reluctant. He asked to be somewhere "pretty and elsewhere." The timing proved prescient. When COVID locked down New York City in early 2020, Selig was already in Costa Rica—unable to return to the city he had called home.

More striking than the forewarning itself was the language his guides used to frame what was coming. They spoke not of catastrophe but of "a radical change in all structures"—economic, medical, educational. Selig found this almost absurd. He was an academic; who would dismantle education? The examples they offered seemed equally surreal: "the mailbox may not be on your corner to drop the mail in next month." Within time, mailboxes actually disappeared from certain New York neighborhoods. The predictions were oddly specific, grounded, and they were happening.

What mattered more than accuracy, however, was the interpretive frame. "They've always spoken to it as opportunity," Selig emphasizes. Not crisis. Not the end of the world, but the end of one world and the beginning of another—a vibration shift, a reorganization of what coherence could look like when fear no longer held the blueprint.

What Does "the Upper Room" Actually Mean?

Selig's guides do not speak in the language of dimensions or the scientific abstractions that physicists sometimes try to map onto their teachings. "I failed science," Selig says with disarming honesty. Physicists attend his events and tell him he's just explained some concept from their field, and he admits he has no idea what they mean. What he understands, instead, is the vibrational and experiential reality his guides point toward when they invoke "the upper room."

When the guides speak of the upper room, they mean a shift in vibration—a coherence, a frequency of being that allows what has not been working to fall away naturally. It is not about escaping the physical world or ascending to some realm beyond form. It is, rather, about maintaining form while aligning to a higher vibration, a way of being that refuses the old scaffolding of fear and reaches for something that actually works.

The teaching that crystallizes this shift is elegant and threefold: "I am in God. I am of God. I am with God." This is not metaphor dressed in theology. It is, in Selig's framing and his guides' insistence, a signature vibrational state—one that can be felt, inhabited, and held within the body and consciousness while moving through ordinary life.

Why More Mediums Are Appearing Now

Host Tami Simon noted at the start of their conversation something she had been observing: in the last six months, more mediums had appeared on Insights at the Edge than in the previous ten years combined. Something was shifting in how openly people received channeled material, how willing they were to explore multi-dimensional intelligence, as Simon called it. Selig had been hearing about this readiness since his guides began speaking in 2009.

The shift is not about skepticism disappearing or the culture suddenly embracing the paranormal. It is about desperation meeting openness. When the structures that held fear in place—the economic systems, the medical institutions, the educational frameworks—begin to crack and reorganize, people naturally look beyond the old explanations. If the old world is transforming anyway, the reasoning goes, then perhaps we can listen to voices that speak from a different register, a higher knowing.

Selig's guides frame this not as coincidence but as collective choice. "Humanity, they say, as a whole—the idea of collective soul—humanity has decided at a higher level to move beyond the older, move to the next level of vibration." This is where the title of the conversation lands: "What the Collective Soul Has Already Decided." The decision has been made not by governments or institutions, not even by individual will, but by what the guides call the "collective soul"—the unified consciousness of humanity itself, working at a higher frequency than fear-driven individual choice.

The Means for Mass Extinction and the Refusal of It

Selig's guides have been explicit about why this moment matters so acutely. "We have the means now for mass extinction," they say through him. "We didn't used to have that. And we know that at a higher level, and we're refusing that at a higher level." It is both grim and strangely empowering: humanity possesses the capability to destroy itself—nuclear weapons, climate collapse, biological engineering—but at the soul level, at the vibration of collective consciousness, humanity is saying no. We will not choose extinction. We will choose coherence instead.

This is not naive optimism. It is a claim about choice operating at a level beyond the individual ego, beyond the fragmented consciousness that believes itself powerless. At that higher level, the guides suggest, the choice has already been made. The structures that required fear to hold them up will fall away. What replaces them will be built on truth, on alignment, on a frequency that actually sustains life.

How the Books Arrive: Process as Teaching

Simon asked Selig what was coming after his 2026 book, Divine Union. Selig revealed that the next work is already underway, channeled through an unusual process. During the summer months, Selig conducts multi-day retreats—five-day intensives in succession. His guides have begun using these longer sessions to deliver entire books, chapter by chapter, because the same students remain in the room for days at a time. The guides can build narrative coherence, develop themes, work with the consistent field of attention that accumulates when a group stays present together.

The forthcoming book is titled The Upper Room, and its teaching distills the next evolution of what his guides have been transmitting: how to maintain the vibration of that higher alignment, how to embody union while living in form. It is the natural progression from Divine Union, the bridge between intellectual understanding and lived coherence.

The process itself is frictionless in a way that would confound most authors. There is no editing, no proofreading demanded of Selig. Someone may correct typos in the manuscript after transcription, but the voice, the argument, the vibrational tone—all of that arrives intact. Selig describes this as a relief, even a blessing. "The fact that he I'm going to as I said, you know, I'm trying to write my own book for the first time," he tells Simon. "But you know, delivering a book that I don't have to proofread or edit cuz I don't... it's such a relief. I feel so blessed and if it helps people, I'm even happier."

Union as a Realized State

The through-line of all this teaching is union—not as abstraction, not as spiritual goal to be achieved after death, but as a vibrational state realizable while maintaining form, while living in the world. The guides teach that this union can be lived, felt, and embodied through the signature statement: "I am in God. I am of God. I am with God." This is not three separate affirmations but one truth expressed from three angles—the intimacy of indwelling (in), the origin and nature (of), and the companionship and presence (with).

When Selig was asked to close the conversation by taking the listeners into this vibrational signature, he did not do so with explanation but with invitation and transmission. The guides spoke: "I am in the upper room. I have come. I have come. I have come. Behold, I make all things new. It will be so. God is. God is. God is. I am in God. You can say this. I am of God. I am with God." And then, simply: "And they're saying blessings to each of you."

The architecture of that benediction is significant. It is not that the listener must believe in the guides or in channeling or in anything beyond their own experience. It is that they are invited to speak the statement, to feel the vibration of it in their own being, to sense whether union—presence in, of, and with the divine—resonates as true. The guides offer no proof, only the frequency itself. Whether that frequency lands as genuine depends entirely on the receiver's own capacity to recognize what already is.

Where to go from here

For those drawn to this material, the next steps are intimate and personal. If the teaching of union resonates, Selig suggests not that you believe it, but that you speak it, feel it, embody it: "I am in God. I am of God. I am with God." Notice what shifts in your body, your awareness, your sense of what is possible when you align to that frequency. Selig's books—Divine Union and the forthcoming The Upper Room—offer the extended teaching, the architecture that supports this vibrational alignment. His summer retreats, where these books are channeled in real time, provide the sustained group field that can hold and amplify the coherence itself. For those interested in exploring channeled wisdom more broadly, Sounds True continues to feature teachers and mediums working in this lineage. The invitation is not to believe but to experiment, to sense, to discover for yourself whether this vibration of union is not something to achieve, but something to remember.

[0:00] Behold, I make all things new.

[0:04] It will be so.

[0:08] God is God is God is.

[0:12] I am in God. You can say this.

[0:15] I am of God.

[0:18] I am with God.

[0:24] >> Well, and they started talking about

[0:27] this time that we're in, which I also

[0:30] did want to talk to the guides about

[0:33] because I think a lot of us, and I'm

[0:35] really sensing this. I mean, I've had uh

[0:38] more mediums on this show, Insights at

[0:42] the Edge, in the last 6 months than I

[0:44] had in the last 10 years.

[0:47] >> Yeah.

[0:47] >> And there's something changing in terms

[0:51] of our acceptance of multi-dimensional

[0:54] intelligence. Paul, this is your time.

[0:57] Need I say? I can sense that and other

[0:59] people I've been talking to and it does

[1:02] seem like there's some kind of

[1:03] restructuring

[1:05] happening at this time and a new level

[1:07] of openness as well.

[1:09] >> Yeah.

[1:10] Well, I've been hearing that since the

[1:11] beginning of all this. You know, they

[1:13] said in 2009 with the first book

[1:17] that humanity is at a time of reckoning

[1:19] and a reckoning is a facing of oneself

[1:22] and all of one's creations. And that

[1:25] everything that's been created in fear

[1:27] needs to be re-known in a higher way.

[1:30] And the examples they've used have been

[1:32] things like, well, you know, there's

[1:33] nothing wrong with a bank. It has a

[1:36] purpose. But if the cement that holds

[1:39] the building of the bank together is

[1:41] made of fear, the building itself may

[1:44] not last. The structures may not last.

[1:48] In 2000,

[1:50] maybe it was 2019,

[1:53] they [clears throat] came through and it

[1:54] was out on a live broadcast of

[1:56] something. There's a big thing coming.

[1:58] It's going to hit New York. Please,

[1:59] Paul, be prepared. I was like, I don't

[2:01] want to be in New York for another

[2:02] disaster. I lived downtown during 9/11.

[2:05] I was there during AIDS. No more. I

[2:07] said, please let me be someplace pretty

[2:09] and elsewhere. And this happened and I

[2:11] actually was in Costa Rica when COVID

[2:14] locked down New York. So much so that I

[2:16] couldn't get back to New York City,

[2:17] which is where I lived then.

[2:19] And they began saying during that whole

[2:22] period to be prepared for a radical

[2:25] change in all structures. And at the

[2:28] time I thought it was nuts. They said

[2:30] economic structures, um medical

[2:33] structures, educational structures. I

[2:36] thought, what the hell's going to happen

[2:37] with education? Who's going to mess with

[2:38] that? I was an academic, you know. The

[2:40] things that we thought were entrenched

[2:43] and would never be changed, they say, it

[2:46] may not be you know, they used to say

[2:47] the mailbox may not be on your corner to

[2:50] drop the mail in next month. And in New

[2:52] York, they they actually did take away

[2:54] mailboxes in certain neighborhoods at a

[2:57] period of time. So people couldn't mail

[2:58] things in.

[2:59] So, they've been on it in this way, but

[3:02] they've always spoken to it as

[3:04] opportunity.

[3:06] And they've also said, and I I struggle

[3:08] with this.

[3:10] One of their books was called The Book

[3:12] of Truth. And it was a tough book as far

[3:15] as they go. They're all very different

[3:18] and they're all but they're all

[3:18] vibrational

[3:20] tonal experiences for the reader. But in

[3:24] that book they say, in truth a lie will

[3:26] not be held. In the energy of truth a

[3:29] lie will not be held. Right before

[3:34] right before the

[3:36] Trump-Clinton election years ago, I was

[3:38] channeling in someplace. It was like

[3:40] Madison, some weird place.

[3:43] And

[3:44] they said, get ready

[3:48] because your idea of choice is I will

[3:50] have the cream and not the milk in my

[3:52] coffee. What's about to happen is the

[3:55] table holding the milk and the cream is

[3:57] going to be turned over.

[3:59] And what you think is choice is going to

[4:01] be something very, very different. And

[4:03] so they've kind of been on this, but

[4:05] they've spoken to it as opportunity.

[4:08] Finally, finally opportunity because

[4:11] they say, and they have said,

[4:14] that we have the means now for mass

[4:18] extinction. We didn't used to have that.

[4:21] And we know that at a higher level, and

[4:24] we're refusing that at a higher level.

[4:26] So, humanity, they say as a whole, the

[4:29] idea of collective soul, humanity has

[4:32] decided at a higher level to move beyond

[4:35] the older, move to the next level of

[4:36] vibration.

[4:38] My guides don't talk about dimensions

[4:40] per se. I failed science. I don't I hear

[4:42] physicists come to my stuff and say,

[4:44] "Oh, you're explaining

[4:45] this concept in physics." I don't really

[4:47] know that.

[4:49] But I do kind of know when they talk

[4:51] about the upper room, they're talking

[4:52] about a shift in vibration, which allows

[4:55] us to move into coherence

[4:58] with a different way of being in reality

[5:00] that actually

[5:02] forces or allows for the release of the

[5:04] old stuff that hasn't been working quite

[5:06] so well.

[5:09] >> I've been talking with Paul Selig. He's

[5:11] the author of a book here in 2026 that's

[5:15] being released called Divine Union.

[5:18] What's coming after Divine Union? It

[5:21] sounds like you're already working on

[5:22] it, Paul.

[5:23] >> Already. They I I you know, I tour in

[5:26] the summer and I do a bunch of like

[5:28] five-day events in a row.

[5:31] And the guides have taken to utilizing

[5:33] those longer retreats to deliver books

[5:35] because they have the same students in a

[5:37] room for a period of time, and they can

[5:40] build a chapter. So, they'll get a whole

[5:41] book done over, you know, 2 months of

[5:44] lectures. 21 days, I think was the last

[5:47] book of of lectures.

[5:49] Um they're calling it right now the

[5:50] upper room and they're talking about how

[5:53] to maintain the vibration of that level

[5:55] of alignment. It's the teaching of I am

[5:57] in God, I am of God, and I am with God.

[6:00] And the book that you just read in some

[6:01] ways I feel like is a clean precursor to

[6:04] it. I just read the book you read a few

[6:06] weeks ago when I had the audio books and

[6:08] I went well, this is pretty smart. You

[6:10] know, I'm always surprised when I read

[6:12] them. Sometimes I don't want to hear

[6:13] their voices anymore. But that's what

[6:16] they're teaching now. They're teaching

[6:17] union in its extraordinary

[6:20] ways that they say it can be realized by

[6:22] us

[6:23] while we maintain form.

[6:26] >> I want to say Paul, I think you are very

[6:29] remarkable workhorse

[6:32] for the upper room. You really are.

[6:34] You're a human workhorse. I'm impressed.

[6:37] >> Thank you for that, you know, it beats

[6:39] laying bricks. I will say that.

[6:42] And you know, the fact that he I'm going

[6:43] to as I said, you know, I'm trying to

[6:44] write my own book for the first time.

[6:46] >> Oh, interesting.

[6:47] >> Yeah. But you know, delivering a book

[6:50] that I don't have to proofread or edit

[6:52] cuz I don't. There's no editing, you

[6:54] know, somebody can correct the typos in

[6:56] the manuscript is such a relief. I feel

[6:59] so blessed and if it helps people, I'm

[7:02] even happier, you know, cuz the books I

[7:04] don't know if they're for me. I think

[7:05] I'm I'm I'm part of the audience but

[7:08] certainly not the whole one.

[7:10] >> And I want to end on this note in God,

[7:13] of God, and with God. For me, that's a a

[7:16] really beautiful takeaway gift. Could

[7:20] you end by taking us there? The

[7:23] experience in, of, and with as a

[7:26] signature vibrational signature that we

[7:28] can feel and keep with us.

[7:32] >> Can I do something? Did you ask me to do

[7:34] something with that?

[7:35] >> You or the guides, I don't care, but I

[7:37] want to leave our listeners with that

[7:40] signature.

[7:42] >> You're saying let's go to the atonement.

[7:44] So

[7:47] They're starting here. They're saying

[7:49] this. I am in the upper room.

[7:53] I have come. I have come. I have come.

[7:58] Behold, I make all things new.

[8:02] It will be so.

[8:06] God is. God is. God is.

[8:10] I am in God. You can say this.

[8:13] I am of God.

[8:15] I am with God.

[8:18] And they're saying blessings to each of

[8:20] you.

[8:21] >> And blessings to you, Paul Selig. I hope

[8:23] I get to meet you in person sometime and

[8:25] give you a big hug.

[8:26] >> [music]

The guides describe reckoning not as punishment but as a confrontation with oneself and all one's creations—a facing of what has been built out of fear and a need to re-know those structures in a higher way. Example: a bank serves a purpose, but if it's held together by fear-based cement, the building itself may not last.
Around 2019, his guides warned that something big was coming that would hit New York and advised him to prepare. Selig was in Costa Rica when COVID locked down New York City, making it impossible for him to return. He emphasizes that the guides framed this as opportunity for radical change in economic, medical, and educational structures, not as catastrophe.
The upper room is not a literal place or dimension. It refers to a shift in vibration—a coherence and frequency of being that allows what hasn't been working to fall away naturally. It's a state of alignment that can be maintained while living in physical form.
His guides use multi-day summer retreats where the same students are present for consecutive five-day intensives. Over these periods, often spanning 21 days or more, the guides deliver entire books chapter by chapter, building narrative and vibrational coherence with the sustained group.
This threefold statement is taught as a vibrational signature and frequency of union—expressing indwelling (in), origin and nature (of), and companionship (with). It's meant to be spoken and felt as a lived state, not a goal to achieve after death, but a coherence realizable while maintaining physical form.
According to Selig's guides, humanity's collective soul is choosing to move toward a higher vibration. As fear-based structures reorganize and crack, more people naturally open to multi-dimensional intelligence and channeled wisdom. The shift reflects a collective readiness for transformation.
The guides describe the collective soul as the unified consciousness of humanity operating at a higher frequency than individual ego-based choice. At that level, humanity has decided to refuse mass extinction and move toward coherence and a next level of vibration, even if individual consciousness hasn't caught up yet.
